اداره کل امور مالیات مودیان متوسط در تهران، طبق بند ز تبصره ۶ قانون بودجه سال ۹۹، مامور شناسایی اینفلوئنسرهای مشمول مالیات‌دهی شده و این اداره وضعیت اظهارنامه‌های سال ۹۹ و ۱۴۰۰ این اینفلوئنسرها با دنبال کننده بالای ۵۰۰ هزار را مورد بررسی قرار داده است. در نهایت ۵۵۱ کاربر و فعال مجازی دارای بیش از ۵۰۰ هزار دنبال کننده شناسایی شدند که مشمول مالیات بر درآمد می‌شدند. طبق اعلام سخنگوی سازمان امور مالیاتی در حال حاضر برای تعداد ۱۲۳ اینفلوئنسر شناسایی شده حدود ۱۷ میلیارد تومان مالیات تشخیص داده شده که ۲۳ نفر از اینفلوئنسرها این مالیات را پذیرفته‌اند.
